Low-interest loans are available for your public water system needs, including generators
and security-related items, through Mississippi’s Drinking Water Systems Improvements
Revolving Loan Fund (DWSIRLF) and Drinking Water Systems Emergency Loan Fund
(DWSELF) Programs.
The DWSIRLF Program currently has loan funding available for improvements and repairs at
the following terms:
- Interest Rate: 2.5%
- Payback Period: Up to 20 Years
- Maximum Loan Amount: $1,500,000
- No interest during construction
- Repayments begin after project completion
The DWSELF Program currently has loan funding available for emergency repairs at the
following terms:
- Interest Rate: 2%
- Payback Period: 5 Years
- Maximum Loan Amount: $500,000
- No interest during construction
- Repayments begin after project completion
- Projects must meet the definition of "Emergency"
